We propose a gradual reduction to a 4 hour work-day. But it does not necessarily have to be 4 hours per day. It could be also 20 hours a week, or 80 hours a month, or even 480 hours a year. Let’s take the example of a software programmer, which normally requires several hours of coding and 4 hours would not be enough. But he could work 2 days at 8 hours and one for 4 and hours, he would have enough time for coding and then enjoy a 4 day weekend. Of course, this scenario will have different variations, but the point is that work-time reductions should be considered as something flexible that could be adapted to the needs of the business.
